BEFORE WE BEGIN

Terms of Service.
Your Agreement with SHERYLUX8.

These terms outline how our service works, what we’re responsible for, and what we ask of you. Please read before engaging our services.

Effective Date: 5 June 2026
Last Updated: 29 September 2026

These Terms apply to the LexBridge8 website and document coordination services. An enquiry alone does not open a case, create a legal retainer or make a fee payable. The written quotation and signed Engagement Agreement identify the contracting party, agreed scope, Base Service Fee, separate Actual Costs and payment arrangement. Mandatory law prevails over any inconsistent term.

Who We Are?

LexBridge8 is a service/brand operated by SHERYLUX8 in Japan. Your LexBridge8 contracting party is the Japan-based SHERYLUX8 sole proprietorship, based in Ota City, Gunma Prefecture, Japan.

We provide administrative support, document procurement coordination and logistics for overseas clients. LexBridge8 is not a law firm. Ujjwal Singh is our India-based Advocate contact; any professional legal work must be expressly agreed with the qualified professional and is distinct from our administrative coordination.

The complete statutory/business address and appropriate formal business details are provided in engagement documents and, where required, quotations or invoices, and to legitimate clients or requesters as legally necessary. Please contact LexBridge8@gmail.com for formal business details.

What We Do and What We Don't

LexBridge8 coordinates document requests, permitted local follow-up, translation, certification and delivery. LexBridge8 is not a law firm. Legal advice, Registry or court representation, objections, hearings and other reserved professional work require an expressly agreed engagement with a qualified professional.

Before case opening, we check the issuing authority, jurisdiction, existing records, applicant eligibility, personal application or attendance requirements, accepted authorization and receiving institution requirements. Administrative assistance cannot replace a personal step required by an authority. Issuance, acceptance and official processing times remain with the relevant authorities and recipients in India, Japan or the destination country.

Our Services

Services are subject to feasibility and the scope accepted in writing. India document work concerns the specified record, copy or certificate and any separately agreed India-side authentication. Japan Desk supports eligible Japan-issued documents for Japan MOFA authentication/apostille, required notarial steps where applicable, Japanese–English / English–Japanese translation and delivery. India-origin documents do not become eligible for Japan MOFA apostille merely by being sent to Japan.

Any legal proceedings or professional representation are separate unless expressly included in an appropriate professional engagement. Delivery is arranged using an available service selected for the destination and client needs; the carrier’s actual charge is billed separately.

Pricing and Payment

The Base Service Fee covers the agreed administrative, coordination and case-management work. India-side government, authority, travel, courier and other necessary third-party expenses are charged separately at actual cost where applicable. These Actual Costs may be requested in advance when needed for the case. Actual Costs are billed at the amount actually incurred and itemised separately. Formal receipts or payment records are provided where issued or available; otherwise, a reasonable written cost breakdown will be provided. Unused Actual Cost funds are not automatically earned Base Service Fee; they are reconciled separately and any unused balance is returned after applicable incurred or non-recoverable commitments are accounted for.

Option A — Simplified 70/30. Sign the Engagement Agreement first. The initial 70% of the Base Service Fee is payable after signing. Work begins only after SHERYLUX8 confirms receipt and formally opens the case. The final 30% must be received in full before the final document is released or dispatched, or before final release or handover of a digital or non-physical deliverable.

After the final 30% has been confirmed and the document is ready for dispatch, SHERYLUX8 will normally dispatch it within two (2) business days using the agreed delivery method. This is an internal dispatch target, not a guarantee of authority processing or courier arrival.

Option B — 100% upfront. The full Base Service Fee is payable after signing the Engagement Agreement and before formal case opening. Work begins after SHERYLUX8 confirms receipt and opens the case.

These are the two Base Service Fee payment arrangements. We accept Wise, Bank Transfer and Stripe. The selected arrangement and any disclosed payment-processing charges are recorded in your quotation and Engagement Agreement. Actual Costs remain separate and may be requested in advance when necessary.

Case Opening, Work Commencement and Timelines

Before formal case opening, we confirm feasibility, jurisdiction, the permitted route, required documents, identity checks, accepted authorization and any personal steps. You sign the Engagement Agreement first and then pay the agreed initial amount. SHERYLUX8 opens the case only after confirming receipt. We confirm the opening date and case-specific estimate in writing; government and other external processing times are not guaranteed.

Work Commencement occurs only after you have signed the Engagement Agreement, the required initial payment has been received and confirmed, SHERYLUX8 has formally opened the case, and SHERYLUX8 or an assigned provider first performs a substantive task within the agreed service scope. Preliminary enquiries, initial assessment, general correspondence and preparation of a quotation alone do not constitute Work Commencement.

Express means priority handling within LexBridge8 and use of a formal express route only where an authority actually offers and accepts one. It does not guarantee faster government, court, police, university, registrar, consular or MOFA processing.

Cancellations and Refunds

Before Work Commencement: cancellation is handled under the agreed Terms, taking account of any Actual Costs or non-recoverable third-party charges already incurred. An enquiry, assessment or quotation alone does not make the Base Service Fee earned.

After Work Commencement: the Base Service Fee is generally non-refundable for ordinary client-requested cancellation, including a change of mind, no longer needing the service or choosing another provider after substantive work has commenced, subject to mandatory statutory rights.

Unavoidable discontinuation exception: only where a genuine unavoidable reason requires discontinuation and continuation is not reasonably possible, a fair settlement applies. We deduct the value of services already performed, Actual Costs already incurred and non-recoverable third-party expenses already paid or committed, without double counting, and refund any remaining unused portion where applicable. This exception does not create a general right to a pro-rata refund after Work Commencement.

Government, authority, courier, professional and other third-party costs already incurred, paid or irrecoverably committed may be non-refundable where applicable. Unused Actual Cost funds are accounted for separately from the Base Service Fee.

Nothing in this policy excludes mandatory statutory rights or remedies. Where Japanese consumer law applies, any cancellation charge or retained amount that exceeds the legally permitted amount, including the applicable average-damage limit, is not enforceable to that extent. This policy does not exclude remedies for our breach, wilful misconduct or gross negligence.

Corrections and Rework

The written quotation defines the included work. If changed instructions, authority requirements, additional visits, resubmissions or a different scope require further work or costs, we explain the reason, proposed work, fee and Actual Cost impact before proceeding and obtain your written agreement to material changes. Published fixed Base Service Fees are not automatically replaced by an unapproved surcharge. Actual Costs remain separate; no fixed monetary or percentage approval threshold applies.

Shipping and Delivery

Delivery is arranged using an available postal or courier service, such as DHL or EMS where suitable, following confirmation of the destination and your requirements. Courier or postage is charged separately at the actual amount charged by the delivery service used. Tracking is shared where the selected service provides it. Optional insurance or enhanced cover, if available, must be agreed with its additional cost and coverage limits. Customs, carrier processing, loss and damage are subject to the selected service’s terms and applicable law; no arrival date is guaranteed.

Under the 70/30 arrangement, the final 30% must be received before dispatch or final digital release. Once that payment is confirmed and the document is ready, dispatch normally takes place within two (2) business days. Any agreed outstanding Actual Costs must also be reconciled and paid as required by the Engagement Agreement.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, SHERYLUX8 is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profit or opportunity, and liability for an individual case is limited to the Base Service Fee paid for that case. These limitations do not apply to wilful misconduct or gross negligence and do not exclude or restrict any liability, consumer remedy or other mandatory statutory right that cannot lawfully be limited.

Authorities and institutions control their decisions and processing times. We do not guarantee their outcomes. This allocation of responsibility does not excuse a failure by SHERYLUX8 to perform its own agreed obligations.

Your Responsibilities

Please provide accurate, complete and genuine information, respond to reasonable requests, and supply only documents you are entitled to share. An organization or representative must have the document holder’s authority. You remain responsible for any personal application, appearance, signature or verification required by the competent authority and for confirming the receiving institution’s requirements. Missing information or personal steps can affect the case estimate. Our services must not be used for unlawful purposes.

Intellectual Property

Website content and branding belonging to SHERYLUX8 remain its intellectual property. Third-party marks, documents and materials remain the property of their respective owners. Permission is required for reuse except where applicable law permits it.

Privacy

Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms of Service by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy at https://lexbridge8.com/privacy-policy.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these website Terms and show a revised Last Updated date. Changes do not automatically rewrite an existing Engagement Agreement. Material changes to an accepted case, scope, charges or contractual terms are explained and agreed in writing before implementation, subject to applicable law.

Governing Law

These Terms and the LexBridge8 engagement are governed by Japanese law, subject to any mandatory protections that apply and cannot lawfully be excluded. We first seek to resolve disputes through good-faith discussion. Maebashi District Court is the intended agreed court of first instance for disputes, subject to mandatory subject-matter, consumer or other jurisdiction rules and rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Complex Case / Required Appearance Professional Handling Fee

From USD 300 additional

This common policy applies to all LexBridge8 services. An additional professional handling fee starting from USD 300 may apply where a case requires an SDM or court-issued route, court attendance, a formal hearing, interview, in-person appearance, attendance by an Advocate or other qualified or authorised professional, complex coordination with multiple authorities, or professional handling substantially beyond the agreed Standard Scope.

This is an addition to the applicable Base Service Fee, not a replacement or a fixed total price. The exact additional fee depends on complexity, location, the number of appearances, professional work and the amount of handling required. It will be quoted and agreed with the client before the additional work begins.

Government fees, court fees, filing fees, travel, courier charges and other third-party expenses remain separate Actual Costs. Any separate professional or service fee is identified separately from third-party Actual Costs.

LexBridge8 is not a law firm or court representative. Any legal representation, court attendance or professional appearance is carried out by a separately engaged Advocate or an appropriately qualified or authorised professional.

Actual Costs and supporting records

Actual Costs are charged based on the amount actually incurred and are itemised separately. Where formal receipts, invoices, payment confirmations, or other supporting records are issued or available, they may be provided. Where such documentation is not customarily issued, LexBridge8 will provide a reasonable written breakdown of the expense.

Any separate professional or service fee is identified separately from third-party Actual Costs.
