Do I need to travel to India or visit any office in Japan?
No. The entire process is managed remotely. Our India-based Advocate handles all in-person visits with Indian authorities. All communication with you is handled in English by LexBridge Japan Desk. You never need to step into an Indian or Japanese government office.
The Base Service Fee is our operational fee. It covers case management, field coordination, authority liaison, and execution. Actual Cost covers out-of-pocket expenses like government fees, field travel, DHL shipping, and third-party charges. Actual Cost is billed at cost with receipts, so you always know exactly where your money went. The two are always shown separately on your quote.
The SLA clock starts only after your case is formally opened which requires your documents, identity verification, authorization letter (if applicable), and deposit to all be received. This protects you from timelines that start before we can actually begin work. We will confirm your case opening date in writing.
If any single Actual Cost item exceeds the estimate, or if cumulative costs are expected to exceed the initial estimate by more than 20%, we will contact you for approval before proceeding. Nothing moves forward without your explicit confirmation. This rule is built into every case by default.
Yes. If your retrieved India document also needs apostille or certified translation for use in Japan, we handle that as an add-on through Service Line A. Simply mention it when you submit your request and we will include it in your quote. You do not need to manage two separate providers.

We accept bank transfer and Wise (recommended for transparent FX). Payment schedule options include milestone-based (25/25/40/10), simplified (60/40), or full upfront, confirmed at the time of quotation. Japan-based clients may pay in JPY via bank transfer or Wise.

LexBridge provides administrative support and arrangement services. Document issuance is at the sole discretion of the relevant Indian authorities. If retrieval is not possible, we will communicate this transparently and promptly. Any Actual Cost already incurred will be documented with receipts, and the Base Service Fee already incurred is non-refundable in principle as work time has been expended.

Yes, fully. LexBridge Japan Desk operates in English throughout all quotes, case updates, and document coordination are handled in English. You do not need Japanese language ability to use our service.
