Who this is for

Built for Indians
Living
in Japan

You’re in Japan. Your documents are in India. Between distance, language barriers, and bureaucratic complexity, getting a birth certificate can take months, if you know where to start. LexBridge8 Japan Desk was built for exactly this situation.

Visa & Immigration

Documents requested for a particular Japanese visa, residency or family application, according to the receiving authority’s checklist.

Marriage Registration

The local Japanese registrar determines the civil records, translations and other evidence required for the specific marriage application.

Children's Documentation

Required birth and family records depend on the child’s place of birth, nationality and the receiving authority’s procedure.

Inheritance & Property

Estate-related document requests are assessed separately from entitlement advice or new court proceedings.

Employment & Education

Employers and institutions specify the academic records or other evidence needed. PCC is not a universal employment or education requirement.

Apostille & Translation for Japan Use

Ask the receiving institution which document, translation, authentication or apostille it requires. These are separate steps and do not guarantee acceptance. For eligible India-issued documents, any Indian authentication route is assessed against current Ministry of External Affairs requirements and quoted separately. Japan MOFA does not apostille India-issued documents.

How It Works

Seven Steps.

One Desk. No Guessing.

The steps below apply according to the selected service: India record retrieval, Japan MOFA apostille for eligible Japan-issued documents, or translation. The issuing country and intended use determine the route.

Step 01

Submit Request

Tell us the issuing country, document type, receiving institution and intended use. We assess eligibility, available records and any personal requirements before quotation.

Step 02

Receive Quote

Base Service Fee plus separate Actual Costs. India-side government, authority, travel, courier, and other necessary third-party expenses are charged separately at actual cost, where applicable.

Step 03

Case Opens

The case is formally opened after feasibility, jurisdiction, the permitted application route, required documents, identity checks, accepted authorization and the agreed initial payment are confirmed. We confirm the opening date and a case-specific estimate in writing. Authority processing and issuance are not guaranteed.

Step 04

Field Operations

For India retrieval, permitted local coordination follows the authority’s rules. For Japan apostille, we check eligible originals and the current MOFA submission procedure. Translation follows the language and format agreed in the quotation.

Step 05

Quality Check

Name spelling, date of birth, completeness, every document checked before it moves forward.

Step 06

Dispatch

Tracked DHL or EMS delivery may be arranged according to your preference, destination and availability. Shipping and any separately agreed cover are charged at actual cost under the carrier’s terms. Transit, customs and government processing are separate; delivery dates are estimates.

Step 07

Delivered

We provide milestone updates and share available receipts, document scans and dispatch tracking through the communication channel agreed for your case.
Timeline & Preparation

What to Expect.
What to Prepare.

Timeline

For eligible standard India document retrieval, 2–6 weeks is an indicative estimate after formal case opening. Record availability, jurisdiction, authority workload and extra checks can change it. Japan apostille, translation and delivery have separate case-specific estimates. Express coordination does not guarantee faster government processing.

Do I need to travel to India or visit any office in Japan?

Remote handling depends on the document, applicable route and authority requirements. Personal attendance may be required in some cases. LexBridge8 will explain the applicable requirements after reviewing your circumstances.

Base Service Fees cover the agreed coordination and administrative scope. Necessary third-party expenses are charged separately at actual cost, with itemized receipts or supporting evidence where available. The quotation identifies the two components separately.

We explain any proposed increase or scope change, provide a revised breakdown and obtain your written approval before additional work or charges outside the agreed quotation. Actual expenses are itemized with official receipts or supporting evidence where available.

Japan Desk Apostille is for eligible documents issued in Japan and processed by Japan MOFA, Kasumigaseki, Tokyo. India-origin documents are not apostilled by Japan MOFA; the applicable India-side route must be reviewed separately. Please specify the issuing country and intended use when requesting a quotation.

Option A — Simplified 70/30. Sign the Engagement Agreement first. The initial 70% of the Base Service Fee is payable after signing. Work begins only after SHERYLUX8 confirms receipt and formally opens the case. The final 30% must be received in full before the final document is released or dispatched, or before final release or handover of a digital or non-physical deliverable.

After the final 30% has been confirmed and the document is ready for dispatch, SHERYLUX8 will normally dispatch it within two (2) business days using the agreed delivery method. This is an internal dispatch target, not a guarantee of authority processing or courier arrival.

Option B — 100% upfront. The full Base Service Fee is payable after signing the Engagement Agreement and before formal case opening. Work begins after SHERYLUX8 confirms receipt and opens the case.

These are the two Base Service Fee payment arrangements. We accept Wise, Bank Transfer and Stripe. The selected arrangement and any disclosed payment-processing charges are recorded in your quotation and Engagement Agreement. Actual Costs remain separate and may be requested in advance when necessary.

Work Commencement occurs only after you have signed the Engagement Agreement, the required initial payment has been received and confirmed, SHERYLUX8 has formally opened the case, and SHERYLUX8 or an assigned provider first performs a substantive task within the agreed service scope. Preliminary enquiries, initial assessment, general correspondence and preparation of a quotation alone do not constitute Work Commencement.

Read the Terms of Service for case opening, scope changes and cancellation.

LexBridge8 provides administrative support and coordination. Issuance, certification and acceptance are determined by the relevant authority or receiving institution in India, Japan or the destination country. If the agreed request cannot proceed, we explain the position promptly. Itemized Actual Costs and available supporting evidence are provided; cancellation and any refund are governed by the agreed quotation and Terms of Service.

Japanese, English and Hindi intake and case communication are available within the agreed scope. Official document translation is separately quoted; tell us your preferred language when requesting assistance.
